Junior Ranger Day

Junior Ranger Day is a yearly activity that teaches children about wilderness safety, fire prevention, geology, flora and fauna, mapping and more! Children of all ages will enjoy the interactive activities offered in conservation education and leave with prizes and their Junior Ranger certification. Smokey Bear makes appearances, the fire crew attends with their engine and children get a badge in the mail after completing the program.

Each year the event is held at Mt. Hood Skibowl, and this year we are planning to have multiple events possibly at other locations in the forest.

The public Jr. Ranger Day will take place August 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 pm. at Skibowl.

To schedule a private Jr. Ranger Day at Skibowl, contact Lawson Reif at 503-622-3191 ext. 610.
